He thought he bought a fanclub

If it wasn’t obvious, I’m fond of a certain flavor of moral tale telling.

The present implosion of one of the larger social media sites might normally generate some anxiety in me. But I feel strangely calm. Like I finally have some freedom to decide and evaluate where I want my digital imprint without having one service suck up all my mental and emotional energy. Given I’ve been wanting my own website for a while, it’s finally given me the impetus to focus on that instead.

I suppose that’s one silver lining to this whole mess.
